Bio

Nino Del Padre launched his videography business in 1991, shooting video of weddings and corporate events, basing his operations in a closet in his apartment in Springfield, MA. That was just a few years before the Internet and advances in computers opened up a world of opportunities for visually and technologically inclined entrepreneurs, and Del Padre was happy to jump on board.

Del Padre's career was inspired and motivated by music video's of the early to mid 1990's citing directors David Fincher Samuel Bayer as well as filmmaker Oliver Stone. Mark Romanek's work was very influential to Del Padre. One of Romanek's notable videos was for the Nine Inch Nails song "Closer". The video is heavily inspired by the Brothers Quay film "Street of Crocodiles", It is also one that the Museum of Modern Art has added to its permanent collection.

Del Padre experimented with creating short movies and music video's in the early 1990's and started doing work as an extra in films to gain experience from Hollywood crews and directors. He can be seen as an extra in “Before and After” starring Meryl Streep and Liam Neeson , “Whipped” staring Amanda Peet and Steven Spielberg’s “Amistad” staring Morgan Freeman and Anthony Hopkins.

Del Padre eventually moved into a spare room with a door, but more importantly, he later found a space in the East Longmeadow, MA. Industrial Park, where he began to develop his skills in Internet and multimedia productions. At first, admittedly 'primitive' Web sites designed in Microsoft Word were only a shadow of the advanced work to come, Del Padre said, while a subtle name change from Del Padre Video Productions to Del Padre Visual Productions and more recently Del Padre Digital reflected the potential of the future.

Today he oversees a business that now encompasses video, animation and interactive design solutions to ad agencies, corporate clients, broadcast networks and the entertainment industry as well as partnerships with institutions as diverse as LEGO, Hasbro, and even NASA, for which the companyhas developed an education program. Hardworking and ambitious, Nino Del Padre has leapt to the front of the class. Relentless at pushing the medium, Nino has set the tone for a constant forward motion when it comes to design.

Del Padre is proficient in both the interactive medium as well as digital cinematography and 3D rendering. Some of the tools that he uses are Autodesk Maya for product rendering, Adobe Creative Suite for design and video editing.

Winner of many awards both local and global such as several Telly Awards, Addy Awards, being named "Top 100 Producers" by Studio Monthly magazine's rundown for three consecutive years and being nominated by Rob Burgess of Macromedia (Adobe) for 2003 Computerworld Honors Collection for the NASA STS 107 project “Space Research and You”. Del Padre and his company have also graced the covers of such national magazines such as AV Video Multimedia Producer and MX Developers Journal.

In July 2007 Del Padre creating a dynamic teaser that blends video and Flash animation that resembles a movie trailer for Howard Stern Radio Personality Riley Martin. Martin is a well-known radio host and author of “The Coming of Tan”, a book that describes his life and his abduction by aliens, his television and radio appearances on national programs including Coast to Coast AM and Jerry Springer have earned Martin a cult following and a place in pop culture history.

The Howard Stern Show took notice of the project, and invited Del Padre to be an in-studio guest on The Howard Stern Show. During the appearance Howard said "I went on RileyMartin.com the other day, it is some website! There is a film on there that is actually very good, its very big it makes Riley out to be like Superman"

Writer Fred Norris spoke to Gary Dell'Abate, also known as "Baba Booey" producer of The Howard Stern Show after the appearance and said "Did you look at that website?, It looks like a fu**ing motion picture, its unbelievable! I'm expecting Denzel Washington to be Riley in the movie when the finally make it.”

In 2009 Nino took delivery of a ‘RED ONE’ Digital Cinema Camera, the worlds first high end camera that shoots in a format that rivals 35mm film . The RED ONE camera shoots in 4K, a digital format that is four times the resolution of 1080P high definition video. Most broadcast music videos and feature films are shot with this technology. Del Padre made this significant investment to forward his ability to service a larger client base and be able to shoot music videos and commercial work for national television broadcasting.

Del Padre Digital is nearing its 20th anniversary and has become the preeminent digital studio led by the company's team of producers, designers, editors, animators, and programmers bring a collective wealth of talent, experience, and passion to every project to ensure, time and again, that its something both Del Padre Digital and its clients can be proud of.
